. Continuous innovation and an unwavering work spirit have allowed Luigi Bosca to achieve a solid position in worldwide markets. Over the last 15 years, they have strongly consolidated their leading position offering products with a personality and a style of their own that reflect the essence of Mendozas terroir, and their regional style, people and culture. Terroir: For this selection Luigi Bosca selects from the best plots in their Los Nobles, Las Compuertas and El Paraiso vineyards in the Maipo subregion of Mendoza, a region marked by high temperature swings between day and night, which leads to optimum ripeness. Soils are shallow, consisting mainly of sandy loam, clay and gravel. Vines are an average of 90 years old. . Vinification: Grapes are handpicked and transported to the winery in small containers to minimize any damage. Upon arrival the grapes are sorted by hand and de-stemmed. Primary fermentation occurs in stainless steel at cool temperatures, after which the young wine is transferred into small oak cask where it will age for 14 months. Barrels are 100% new and a combination of 70% French and 30% American. The wine is lightly filtered before bottling. . Marked by a deep red color with violet nuances, it achieves a strong complexity and structure through the limestone soil. It is a vigorous, robust, and highly intense blend with a prolonged and velvety palate of exuberant aromas contributed by the granite soil. .
